Congress alleges Scholarship scam under Mayawati government

Accusing Mayawati for bad state of education in the state, Congress (I) has said that scams in her government did not spare even poor students’ scholarship scheme. Mayawati government is playing with the education and career of students of Uttar Pradesh, said Congress (I). Under higher education scholarship scheme UP government allotted funds of Rs 500 crores. But out of this amount Rs 400 crore were siphoned off by ministers of Mayawati in connivance with private educational institutions, said Congress (I). There are around 700 private professional colleges in the state. State government is paying fees of SC/ST and poor students in the form of scholarship direct to the private institutions alleged Congress.  But private colleges are also charging fees from those students, added the Congress. Thus while students have been deprived of the benefits of scholarship, Mayawati has helped private colleges to fill their coffers, said Congress (I).

Mayawati’s election lollipops would not work: Congress (I)

Accusing UP Chief Minister for throwing around promises of reservation for minority community in the state, Congress (I) has said Mayawati is trying to cover her misdeeds with such gimmicks. If she was really concerned with welfare of minority community where was she for the last five years? Mayawati is trying to fool the minority community by raising this issue in the wake of Assembly elections for the sake of getting their votes. If somebody has done anything for the minorities, Muslims and backward classes, it is only Congress (I).It was Congress (I) which appointed Sachhar Committee to recommend measures of socio-economic development of Muslims.  The recommendations of the committee have been implemented in Congress (I) ruled states like Delhi and Maharashtra while Mayawati has not done this yet in Uttar Pradesh, said Congress (I) adding that no election lollipops would work in favor of the BSP now as people of the state are fed up with her non-governance and corruption.

Mayawati government full of Maha Ghotalas: Congress (I)

Blaming Mayawati government for rampant corruption in Uttar Prades, Congress (I) has said if Mayawati has done anything perfectly well during last four years then it is Maha Ghotalas which she carried out stealthily and behind doors. Mayawati’s perfection in such cases was so excellent that only some instances of it could reach the people.  For instance, there was Rs 40,000 crore Noida Maha Ghotala.  There was Noida Farm House Ghotala.  There was Uttar Pradesh Sugar Mill Ghotala. Her ‘mayajal’ was so perfect that people now believe Mayawati is a leading player specialising in the field of ghotalas. Under Mayawati government bhrashtachar became a shishtachar, has said Congress (I).  People say corruption which used to be in percentage earlier has now turned into loot by Mayawati government. Mayawati has established the top record in corruption by out- performing both BJP and SP in the state, said Congress (I).
