Priyanka Gandhi Vadra in Raebareli, 11th February 2012


Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Saturday while addressing an election meeting in Raebareli said that this assembly polls is very crucial for the state of Uttar Pradesh. She requested the voters to cast their votes intelligently for the betterment of the state and for the future of the people.
“All of you are aware that the assembly election here is on 19th. Ashokh Singh Ji is your candidate again... This is not an election just to elect your MLA but is to decide the future of your state and the course of politics here, “said Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.
She continued “You have experienced that for the past 22 years the successive state Governments did nothing for you. So this election is very important for you to find out an alternative politics and to elect a Government that is committed for development. For the past 22 years you have been witnessing negative and opportunistic politics in U.P, and now you have a chance to change this. Democracy has given power to the people to bring in changes. Your vote is very valuable and therefore you should cast your vote thinking about development and your future”.
“The leaders who approach you with toll promises should realize that the people will reject them if they do not serve the people properly. These leaders get power and strength because of you only. The moment you realize this truth, you will see positive changes here. I am confident that you will take an intelligent decision when you go to vote on 19th to take your state forward, ensure a bright future for your children and for the progress of the state” reminded Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.
Priyanka Gandhi then urged people to go to vote in large numbers and said “I have full confidence that you will remember my words when you go to polls on 19th (February). I am also hopeful that you will go to vote in large numbers like the way you have come here to hear me. Support Congress and elect Ashok Singh Ji to enable Congress to form a Government and to protect your rights… Thank you..”.
