Rahul Gandhi has said during the last UP Assembly elections Congress (I) had put BJP on ventilator and in the coming Assembly elections it will be finished. BJP in UP had played with the sentiments of the people but did nothing for the betterment of the people. Rather it spoiled the harmonious atmosphere of the state. BJP has been tried, tired and spent force in the state. Congress (I) has said BJP turned out to be so much greedy for power that it did not hesitate to form alliance with Mayawati’s BSP while both the parties believe in completely opposite ideologies. Both these parties went to the extent of sharing power in the state by each party ruling the state for six months in turn. Their misadventure failed as both these parties were trying to fox each other at the cost of people of Uttar Pradesh and its development, said Congress (I).
