Congress is taking all its efforts to perform a spectacular show in the upcoming assembly polls in the crucial state of Uttar Pradesh. The most charismatic leaders of the Congress, its President Sonia Gandhi, young General Secretary Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra are all scheduled to take part in the campaign to enthuse the Congress workers.
After the successful election campaign for the Congress in two constituencies Amethi and Raebareli, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra is scheduled to visit U.P again from February 3 to boost the morale of the Congress workers in the state. During the last assembly and Parliament elections also Priyanka Gandhi had campaigned in Amethi and Raebareli and helped the Congress to improve its tally.
Congress president Sonia Gandhi would be start her campaign in UP with election meetings in Gonda and Deoria on February 1.
Rahul Gandhi has already been spearheading the campaign for the Congress in Uttar Pradesh and already toured most parts of the state by now. He has started this phase of the campaign from Sitapur on 31 January 31. He is scheduled to hold meetings in Bahriach, Faizabad, Ambedkarnagar, Meerut, Varanasi, Jaunpur, Siddhartnagar, Sant Kabirnagar, Basti and Gonda among others in the next couple of days.
The state of U.P will go to the polls from February 6, 2012.
