Rahul Gandhi: We will change the face of UP

Lashing out against Mayawati and Mulayam Singh Yadav for have been ruling the state without caring for the people or the development, Congress (I) General Secretary Rahul Gandhi has said his party is determined to change this sordid situation.  “We want to change the way the state governments have been treating its people.  These leaders have helped themselves rather than helping the people,” said Rahul Gandhi while campaigning for the ongoing Assembly elections.  BSP, SP and BJP have wasted 22 years of the people by doing nothing for them; they have proved themselves as failure, he further said and added that the mess created by them cannot be changed in one day. Speaking straight from his heart he said, “Don't think that I will be able to change the face of UP in one day... If you think I can or will, then please don't vote for me”. Assuring the audience he said, “I am here for the long haul. I will stay here for several years, I will not abandon you. I will not become inaccessible like Mayawati or like Mulayam Singh. The Congress party is here to bring change to UP.” Urging the people that they gave 22 years to other parties, Rahul Gandhi, asked them this time give five years to Congress (I) and assured that ‘we will change the face of the UP and do all that in five years which these parties failed to do in the last 22 years.’
