Brushing aside the oft-repeated promises given by parties like BSP and SP at the time of each election as of no use to the people, Congress (I) General Secretary Rahul Gandhi has said, “We are here to bring change in UP for the better future of the people.” “We are not here to make promises. We are here to work for UP to take it forward on the path of development,” said Rahul Gandhi while addressing a public meeting in Hardoi recently for the Assembly elections.
Pointing out these parties have deceived the people over last 22 years by giving false promises, Rahul Gandhi said that the blind promises cannot bring any change. “If we want to develop, then the voice and strength of the people should reach the Parliament as well as Assembly,” he further said.
The Congress General Secretary said, “You will see Rahul Gandhi among the people in the UP villages, till development is back in the state. From 2004 onwards you are seeing me at various places in UP. I am here to bring in positive changes here and I will not leave till I accomplish it.”
Urging the people to vote for change, Rahul Gandhi assured that Congress (I) will do for the people which these parties failed to do during the last 22 years.
