Rahul Gandhi: I am here to transform UP, not for elections

Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi while campaigning for congress in the poll bound Uttar Pradesh said that he had come not for elections but to change the bad state of affairs in Uttar Pradesh. He also said that he does not believe in promises but he has come to fight for U.P.
"I am just 40 years old. I am here to stays for long and therefore am in no hurry," said the Congress General Secretary.
Rahul Gandhi talked at length about the double speak of both Mayawati and Mulayam Singh Yadav and how they befooled the people by giving hollow promises. “During elections, they come to give with lots of promises, but forget you after the polls” said the Congress leader.
"Mulayam Singh has promised free electricity though he did nothing of the sort during his three stints as UP chief minister. Us samay bijli nahin, bus bill muft ka aata tha (At that time the only free thing people got was bill)," Rahul said, claiming that in Amethi people showed him bills even though they had no power connections.
