Congress (I) has accused Mayawati government of allowing illegal removal of sand in the state which has resulted in loss of thousands of crores. Uttar Pradesh is quite rich in natural resources. Lime store, sands, gravel and stones used in construction works are available in plenty in the state, said Congress (I). In one region Bundelkhand alone every day 5000 truck loads of sand mineral is transported. Each truck carries sand worth Rs 6000 to Rs 8000. Each truck pay fee of Rs 5100 while receipt is issued for only Rs 2100. The balance Rs 3000 is stated to be share of Mayawati. Locally it is popularly known as Maya ker. In that one region daily business turnover is more than Rs 3 crore. One can gauze the extent of such under hand dealings of Mayawati if the turnover of all the regions of the state is clubbed together, said Congress (I).
