Congress (I) has said the people of Uttar Pradesh had tried all political parties during the last two decades but none fulfilled their expectations. BJP played with the people’s sentiments and polarized the communities. Mulayam Singh Yadav played caste politics which benefited only 10% of the people and used musclemen to rough up the rivals. Mayawati’s BSP crossed all limits of corruption. All these parties had no vision much less any agenda which led the state to stagnate. While Mulayam Singh Yadav in his manifesto had opposed computerization of the state, Mayawati in the name of development developed only park with her statute in it. Mayawati stole people money sent by central government for implementing welfare schemes for the poor. Now Uma Bharati wants to burn every thing including Wal-Mart. That explains why there are not enough job opportunities in the state. In the circumstances Congress (I) is the only alternative and best option for the people.
