Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi, during his visit to Amethi on 20th October, 2011, inaugurated a branch of Corporation bank in Amethi. In a function organized at Ramlila Maidan Rahul Gandhi said that unless the poor people including dalits, adivasis and farmers are not ensured the facility of banking, our country would not progress. “Now there are a lot of facilities in the banks like mobile banking. And many dalits and poor people are staying in villages. Unless these people are connected with the banks we cannot achieve development” said Rahul Gandhi.
